The Chesapeake Women Anglers (CWA) is a women’s fly fishing club with members residing in and around the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area including MD, VA and beyond.
We share skills by teaching each other while on the water and in the classroom and by writing articles for our quarterly newsletter. We meet monthly to fish on local waters in the mid-Atlantic/Chesapeake Bay area and by way of our destination trips explore more distant waters together.
We partner with environmental groups to improve our waters, take part in community events, and socialize at our annual events.
Become a member so you can learn about the great places we fish, share the camaraderie and create your own stories. Membership is open to adult persons age 18 and over. We hope to see you on the water!
Favorite Fishing Spot?
If you have a favorite fishing spot that you would like to share with others please let us know. It can be a half day, a full day or an overnight outing. Please send a note through the Contact form on our website or email pres@ChesapeakeWomenAnglers.org to discuss details. You don’t have to be an expert. You just need to be willing to help take some folks to your favorite spot. We all love to fish new places with new people.
