Come join us for fishing the beautiful Elk River and the streams of the Kumbrabow State Forest in the Allegheny Mountains of central West Virginia. Stay at the Elk Springs Resort, Monterville, WV. The resort boasts a variety of clean, comfortable lodging choices (14 cabins and a 6.000 sq. ft Lodge), Ellie May’s Ole Mill Restaurant (delicious menu) and a very well-appointed fly shop. The staff is very knowledgeable about local spots to fish. Guided trips are also available. Primitive fisherman cabins are clean, comfortable and affordable, more like “glamping.“ The Minis sleep two ($65/night) and Maxis sleep 2-4 ($95/night). Each has a fire pit and heat. No A/C, running water, TV or bathroom. There are steps to the very clean and semi-private shower/bath facility. Each unit has individual locked toilet and shower compartments and a reserved sink. Alternatively, rooms in the Lodge are $150-175 per night, and Studio Units are $125/night. Please check the website information and pictures of the lodging, menu and other details at www.elkspringswv.com. Members should book directly with the resort at 877-355-7774 or 304-339-2999. Please note the Point Mountain Lodge is not on the immediate property. Also note that fishing licenses are not sold at the resort and must be purchased in advance. To fish the river and surrounding waters a WV fresh water fishing license, Trout stamp, National Forest stamp and Conservation stamps are required. A deposit of 50% of your bill is required at the time of your booking. Take note of the cancellation policy on the web site. Please book your travel immediately. This resort books up very quickly.
